Really like the case but it is my first experience using a minimalist case and it seems a bit fragile in comparison to what I've been using. Usually I buy cases that appear to offer more protection but I'm tired of making large phones even bigger by adding an unnecessarily beefy case. Hopefully I won't need to find out whether the Benks case offers good protection but I would think it should be OK for an occasional slip from the hand. As for the screen protector, I haven't installed it yet. I am using a different Benks screen protector from Amazon and I don't feel the need to replace it with this new one until it cracks, bubbles or has some scratches on it.
